2024 Mazda CX-3 Front View: Sleek Design and Cutting-Edge Features

Mazda's updated CX-3 lineup is set to hit showrooms in September, boasting a sleeker selection.

The new range consolidates from six different trim levels and 13 variants down to just five distinct options. A notable change is the removal of manual transmission and all-wheel drive choices.

Across the board, CX-3 models now feature wireless Apple CarPlay, as well as wired Android Auto, power-folding exterior mirrors, and remote window control for added convenience.

With the removal of the manual version, the starting price for the CX-3 has increased by $3290 to $26,800 (excluding on-road costs) for the new Sport model. This represents a $1290 increase compared to the previous trim level with automatic transmission.

The upgraded Sport variant boasts a host of additional features to justify the price hike, including 16-inch alloy wheels (replacing the previous steel wheels), blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The lineup continues with the introduction of the Pure trim, which replaces the Maxx Sport. The Pure trim incorporates LED headlights and tail lights with automatic high-beam, lane-departure warning, driver attention alert, and a head-up display for enhanced safety and convenience.

The Evolve model takes over from the Maxx Sport LE and comes with 18-inch machined alloy wheels, front parking sensors, and sophisticated white leatherette and tan suede upholstery.

For those seeking a more stylish flair, the Touring SP replaces the scouring variant. It features cosmetic enhancements like 18-inch black machined alloy wheels, a black painted roof, a black chrome wing, and a glossy black front grille. The interior is adorned with black leather and Grand Luxe suede upholstery with blue highlights. The Touring SP also includes heated front seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat with memory, and adaptive cruise control with stop/go functionality.

The Akari, carrying over from the previous model, has been updated with a seven-speaker Bose sound system and 18-inch black machined alloy wheels, albeit with a price increase of $810.

New color options such as Aero Grey paint have been introduced to the lineup, joining existing choices like Soul Red Crystal, Machine Grey, Polymetal Grey, Platinum Quartz metallic, Jet Black, and Snowflake White Pearl mica finishes.

It now comes exclusively with front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission. All models are equipped with idle stop/start technology to enhance fuel efficiency.

Mazda backs the CX-3 with a five-year, unlimited-kilometer warranty. Scheduled servicing is required every 12 months or 15,000km, with the first five services capped at $334, $526, $412, $526, and $334.
